FAQ.

Q : Will my original photograph be altered or tampered in any way?
A : No. All alterations will be made to the scanned digital image, which you send via email, Dropbox or WeTransfer.

Q : How long does it take to restore/retouch/colourize a photograph?
A : Anywhere between a day to a week, depending on the complexity of the job.

Q : Do I get to review my restore/retouch photo before I approve?
A : Of course! Upon completing the job, we will send you  a low-resolution watermarked “digital proof” for you to review and approve or recommend changes.

Q : What is the cost like?
A : That depends on the complexity of the job. Naturally, the more complex the job, the higher the cost. Please email us for further information or send us your scanned photo for a quote.

Q : What is the order process like?
A : First, you need to send us your scanned image/images via Email/ Dropbox/ WeTransfer. The file/files will then be  assessed and a quote sent to you within 2 working days.  If you are happy with the quote, a PayPal invoice will be sent to you thereafter. We will commence work on your scanned photo/photos as soon as 50% payment is made. Upon your approval of the job and us receiving the remaining 50% of the payment, a link with a password will be emailed to you to access and download the completed file/files. We can also send you the completed file/files via Dropbox/ WeTransfer, if you prefer.

Q : What resolution do I use for scanning?
A : You need to scan your photograph/photographs at a minimum of 350 PPI (pixels per inch) for photos with dimensions of 4" x 6" or more and at a minimum of 500 PPI (pixels per inch) for anything smaller. The preferred file format is JPG/JPEG but we accept TIFF files as well. The higher the resolution of the scanned image, the better the end result.
